Today is my dearest hubby's 40th birthday. When I think about it, forty seems like an eternity. Where did the years melt away? When did the 40's arrive?
But it has been forty glorious years. Forty glorious years of a wonderful life. I admire his grit and passion. And I don't see him slowing his pace yet! Forty does not have to mean the "twilight" of one's career. On the contrary, it is a new beginning. It is time to coast along life's bumpy roads with renewed determination and confidence. If you too are celebrating your birthday today, I wish you the very best. I hope that you pursue your dreams with renewed passion.
And while I decorate my hubby's birthday cake with a thoughtful birthday message, here are some inspirational birthday quotes for you to chew on.

If you are about to undertake a new venture, nothing works better than a good dose of inspiration. And who better to give you that dose, than the "doctor" of motivation, Dale Carnegie. Every time I read his books, I say to myself, "I knew this. I wonder why I did not focus enough on this." When you listen to Dale Carnegie or read one of his motivational books you are inspired to "wake up." So start your day with these Dale Carnegie quotes and see the results in a month's time.

If you are going to respond with a usual "work-meetings-TV-bed" routine, then you are missing out on something important. As each waking day passes by with mind-numbing precision, you commit yourself to a life of monotony. Soon a week, a month, and then a year will pass. And nothing consequential would have happened in your life.
Wake up to reality. As each second ticks by, remember that precious time is lost forever. Have you reviewed your dreams and aspirations? Are you working towards achieving them? Are you leading a contented life? If your answers are 'no,' then start working on your life's goals.
Plan to spend a day just by yourself. Enjoy the solitude and rediscover yourself. Be true to your passions and find out what you want from life. If you are adequately fired up, you may be in for a tough but satisfying life. But at least you will walk with your head high and a spring in your steps. That should be your plan for today.

When I prepare a speech, I often use quotes to make an impact. For example, Mark Twain's words, "When in doubt, tell the truth," always evokes a response. Use this quote and many other short funny sayings to make an impact on your listeners. Your audience will be all ears, lapping up each word that you utter.
