Revisit Your Childhood With Dr. Seuss Quotes
Monday March 17, 2008
Recently, I read my children a Dr. Seuss story from The Cat in the Hat. The first thing that struck me was the author's ability to string together bits of nonsense into a lyrical story. As always, once I read Dr. Seuss' writing, I continued to read all his books. So, I went ahead and read The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, Oh, the Places You'll Go! and Daisy-Head Mayzie.
Dr. Seuss has the knack of weaving gibberish into a beautiful story. His stories enthrall children, especially when the words are tough to pronounce. His drawings have lanky looking characters with strange appendages that make them look like aliens. Read this collection of Dr. Seuss quotes and you will get a glimpse of the method to his madness.
