Birthday Wishes: Messages of Love to Inspire Young Kids

By , About.com Guide

Birthdays are no longer simple affairs. With rampant commercialization, our ever-demanding kids want a cooler birthday party. A simple birthday celebration with grandparents, uncles, and aunts, will just not work anymore. If you want to stay on top of the social ladder, you have to come up with creative ideas for birthday celebrations.

Say goodbye to small birthday parties with close-knit family and friends. Nowadays, birthday invitations have become quite elaborate. From inscribed umbrellas, to a bouquet of chocolate roses; parents leave no stone unturned. Theme birthdays are not restricted to pink and blue colors, or swimwear. The latest ones include costume parties, rollerblade parties, and even scuba-diving parties.

Forget cream cookies and apple pie. New age birthday parties require you to come up with exotic food from distant lands. Well-heeled kids know the difference between sushi and sashimi. They have a fair idea of what constitutes a good gelato. So, take care not to end up with a faux pas.

Kids have a hectic social calendar with birthday invitations almost every week. While it is important for kids to mingle with their peers, it is not necessary for them to attend every single birthday party they are invited to. Overindulgence can lead to imbalanced development. Children begin to focus on the materialistic aspects of the birthday rather than the emotional ones.

Inculcate a healthy attitude towards birthdays with these beautiful birthday wishes. Messages of love and warmth encourage children to develop a positive attitude towards birthdays. Share these birthday wishes and messages with your children and inspire them to enjoy life.
