It calls for celebration when a couple has been together for a quarter of a century, and no such party would be complete without a wedding anniversary toast being raised to the pair. If you find yourself with the mic to give a 25th anniversary speech to loved ones, use a few quotes from the ones given below to make it special.

Wedding Anniversary Toast Etiquette

Who should make the toast at a wedding anniversary celebration and when should they be made? You have more options for a wedding anniversary than an actual wedding reception, so follow the etiquette for a birthday party or formal dinner that has a guest of honor.

The host of the celebration rises to offer a welcoming toast after the guests are seated. Another toast can be offered in honor of the guests of honor when dessert has been served and the champagne (or alternative toasting beverages) has been passed out.

As a general rule, toasts should not be so long as to keep the guests from enjoying their dessert. There can be several rounds of toasts from others in attendance, who rise to give a toast, and the host is obligated to keep the toasting beverages refilled. The guests of honor do not drink when toasted, however.

Finally, the guests of honor should rise and thank the host and drink a toast to them.
