The 20th century witnessed a dramatic improvement in women's status. From the bra-burning agitation to the women's equality movement, women made remarkable progress in every walk of life. While social structures have been redefined to allow more room for women, there is need to do more. On the one hand, we see women reaching outer space, as well as the depths of the deep blue oceans.
