Michelangelo lived six centuries ago, but his art is still alive. Walk the streets of Rome, and you will find Michelangelo's works of art in every part of the city. The
Pieta, the
Statue of David and the architecture inside the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica were some of his notable creations. Not many know that his full name was Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, but everyone knows that he was a perfectionist to the core. Michelangelo regarded even the tiniest flaw as a catastrophe. It's no wonder then that today's artists, with the best of equipment and technology, cannot match the finesse and grandeur of Michelangelo.
